Whether it’s a Christmas Eve buffet, a Boxing Day buffet or a Christmas lunch buffet on the day itself, leaving everyone to help themselves to a festive spread is a brilliant way of feeding the masses at this time of year. If you’re after Christmas buffet ideas, here’s where we’d start.
Depending on numbers, you’ll probably want a few Christmas mains as centrepieces, as well as Christmas side dishes, Christmas vegetables, Christmas starters and Christmas canapés to fill the table, or let one of our Christmas Dinner Boxes cover the lot.
You may want a selection of different Christmas meat (including Christmas turkey) for your Christmas buffet or, if you prefer a meat-free spread, we’ve got loads to choose from in our vegan Christmas food as well as our vegetarian Christmas dishes. If you’d feel more relaxed knowing you’ve also taken care of other possible dietary requirements, we do also have our gluten-free Christmas food and dairy free menus. If you’re not quite sure, and prefer to have a few things on standby in the freezer just in case, it’s reassuring to know they won’t go to waste. Whatever Christmas buffet food isn’t needed on the day can just stay in the freezer for another occasion, which will doubtless come round soon enough.
Last but not least – Christmas desserts … don’t forget to include these at the end of your Christmas buffet. If tummies are full, you can always have a breather before the Christmas party food gets replenished with the sweet stuff!
