OK, that's probably over-stating it a bit, but this month you really can eat curry and help change the lives of families living in poverty in India and Africa.
With our COOK Curry Taste-ival we're getting behind the Curry For Change campaign by a great little charity called Find Your Feet. The whole idea is to share a curry at home with friends or family, have a great time, and donate your takeaway money to Find Your Feet.
To get an information pack about hosting your own curry night click on the link below or simply donate at any of our shops (and with our £10 Indian takeaway deal in full swing between 14th and 30th June, hopefully you'll have some loose change to spare).
Many, many congratulations to our team of tough COOKies for completing the ‘Tough Mudder’ challenge on Sunday. The whole thing sounded pretty ghastly from what I have heard with challenges including swimming through ice, wading through a mile of mud hills, encountering at least two obstacles dishing out electric shocks not to mention the small matter of running 12 miles.
Two thirds of entrants dropped out and so the fact the whole COOK team finished together in a time of 3 hours 40mins is a great testament to the training they did and the teamwork on the day.
A whopping £3255 has so far been raised for Demelza House which is a fabulous cause and there is still time to donate here.
I'd just like to say 'well done' to all the team, I’m very proud of what you achieved together.
Lyndsay shows us how to make a wonderfully simple and delicious stir fry with our Aromatic Belly of Pork. Simply cook the pork from frozen in the oven, shred it and then knock up your stir fry in minutes. A great dish to enjoy with friends or simply knock up as a quick dinner or lunch for yourself if you've got any pork left.
