How We Make It
Chicken breast is cook and sliced, ready for the tomato sauce. We then oven-roast sliced mushrooms until golden. For the tomato sauce, we sauté onions with garlic, carrots & celery and sage, add tomatoes and seasoning and cook slowly until thick and tasty. Then it’s finished with chopped basil and parsley. The cheese sauce starts as a roux-based béchamel, to which we add English mustard, mature Cheddar, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Then it is all hand layered between Italian egg pasta lasagne sheets, topped with cheese sauce, and finished with a red pesto & Cheddar crumb.
