We are a little bit obsessed with dreams. Not the weird kind you might have had last night about running across Westminster Bridge in your birthday suit being chased by an angry tortoise, but the aspirational variety. Those things you always wanted to do but life has somehow got in the way.
It all started with a book called The Dream Manager by Matthew Kelly, a sort of business parable about how a company inspired their team. We hired our own Dream Manager, the lovely Al, and set to work.
Since the COOK Dream Academy started in 2013, over 80 people – members of our team and customers – have had a series of confidential one-on-one coaching sessions with Al, either in person or over the phone. So far, every single one of them has recommended it.

Part of it is defining what a dream is,’ explains Al. ‘So often they come down to getting outside of your comfort zone and getting to know yourself better.’ Writing things down really helps define our dreams and is the first step in turning them into achievable goals, so we’ve made some lovely little Dream Books.
