Handmade to a 40 year-old family recipe, a classic Christmas pudding made with vine fruits and citrus peel soaked in Sussex Stout, with a delicate warmth from winter spices and a dash of brandy.

We never put additives or preservatives into our food. We do occasionally use kitchen cupboard ingredients that include some additives in their sub-ingredients (for example Worcestershire Sauce used in our Spaghetti Bolognese, which contains Tamarind Extract).

Cooking/Serving Instructions

These cooking instructions are only a guide. Your appliance may have a personality of its own (or a different power rating). Please adjust accordingly.

Oven:

To Steam: Remove sleeve and film under the lid. Replace lid and steam as per the steamer’s instructions. If steaming in a saucepan, remove sleeve, lid and film. Replace lid and cover with foil securely to prevent water reaching the pudding. Inside a suitably sized saucepan place the pudding on a trivet and add boiling water to surround ½ of its height. Steam with the saucepan lid on for 30 mins or until product is piping hot. Regularly check water levels.

Oven Settings

Fan , Electric , Gas Mark .

Microwave:

(850W): Remove sleeve and film under the lid. Cover loosely with lid and cook on full power for 1 min. Allow product to rest for 1 min and ensure piping hot before serving.

Remove sleeve, lid and film under the lid. Cover loosely with lid and and loosen lid. Ccook on full power for 3 minutes. Allow the pudding to rest for 2 mins in the microwave before cooking for a final 2 mins.
