Packed with roasted sweet potato, parsnips, kale and speckled green lentils in a rich tomato sauce.
For the sauce we fry off some garlic before adding onions and cooking until soft. We then add rosemary, thyme, vegetable stock and tomato puree and cook this off for a few minutes to bring out the flavours from the herbs. We then add chopped tomatoes and red wine and simmer this sauce for around 45 mins until all the flavours are really well developed. This is then mixed together with the veg and lentils.
Finally it’s wrapped in our delicious hand-prepared shortcrust pastry.
AT COOK WE USE THE SAME INGREDIENTS YOU WOULD USE AT HOME.
We never put additives or preservatives into our food. We do occasionally use kitchen cupboard ingredients that include some additives in their sub-ingredients (for example Worcestershire Sauce used in our Spaghetti Bolognese, which contains Tamarind Extract).
