
Talking Turkey
A feast is really the only one way to really mark a big celebration … and no celebration is bigger than Christmas Day. If you’re planning on a traditional turkey as the centrepiece of your feast, you’ll be needing the best. That’s where we come in.
Working closely with renowned turkey farmer Paul Kelly, we have created the highest welfare standard possible for our birds which has been recognised with a Good Turkey Award by Compassion in World Farming.

COOK Woodland turkeys are raised outdoors in woods in East Anglia. They roam freely beneath the shelter of the trees 24hrs a day, subsisting on 100% natural diet. The birds are grown to full maturity to ensure a lovely flavour and we make sure their welfare is as good as it possibly can be right through to the end.
Paul Kelly has been hatching and rearing Turkeys for two generations. COOK have been working with Paul for over 5 years.
What makes a tasty turkey?
According to Paul, the most important things are maturity and exercise. COOK Woodland turkeys get plenty of exercise in the woods and grown to full maturity which allows time for a good fat cover to establish and marble through the meat helping to keep the meat moist when roasting.
We have Turkey joints for 2 up to 12 so there’s something for everyone, whatever the size of your gathering. All are hand stuffed with our handmade stuffing using higher welfare sausage meat, orange soaked apricots ad a hint of ginger. Finished with sweet cured-ed bacon. We also have the Turkey Thigh which adds a product with the tasty leg meat to the range. It’s a great addition to serve on the side one of the Turkey joints or have it on it’s own.


All our Turkey’s need defrosting before cooking. The best way to do this is to remove them from the packaging, put them on a plate and loosely cover them so that air can circulate around them.
