Try it with:

  • A must for any thali – a mix of curries, rice, sides and breads – when cooking for a crowd.
  • Sprinkle over some fresh coriander before serving.
  • Add a little fresh sliced red chilli to make it hotter.

How We Make It At Our Kitchen

  • We toast a mix of Indian spices until fragrant, and then blitz them into a delicious spice mix.
  • We fry some onion, garlic and ginger in a mixture of butter and rapeseed oil, and then add the spices along with tomato puree and cinnamon and bay for flavour.
  • In goes butter and double cream, and finally it’s finished with coriander.

AT COOK WE USE THE SAME INGREDIENTS YOU WOULD USE AT HOME.

We never put additives or preservatives into our food. We do occasionally use kitchen cupboard ingredients that include some additives in their sub-ingredients (for example Worcestershire Sauce used in our Spaghetti Bolognese, which contains Tamarind Extract).

Cooking/Serving Instructions

These cooking instructions are only a guide. Your appliance may have a personality of its own (or a different power rating). Please adjust accordingly.

Microwave:

Remove sleeve, pierce film. Cook on full power.

3 mins > stir & re-cover > 1 min 30 secs
Allow to stand for 1 min and stir well before serving.

Oven:

We strongly recommend cooking this product in the microwave, however should you need to cook this in the oven, please follow the instructions as follows. Preheat oven. Remove sleeve, pierce film and place on a baking tray in the centre of the oven.

Oven Settings

Fan 170°C, Electric 190°C, Gas Mark 5.
40-45 mins
Allow to stand for 1 min and stir well before serving.

Defrost Instructions:

Should this product defrost, keep refrigerated and eat within 48 hours. Follow the microwave cooking guidelines and cook for 2 mins 30 secs.

Extra Warnings:

Steam may be released when removing film lid.
