Pasta Bolognese Recipe

Serves 2

A traditional slow-cooked Bolognese ready in about 8 minutes.

All you need is:

- 150g of pasta, preferably rigatoni

- Freshly grated parmesan

Method:

1. Pierce the top and pop it in the microwave or on the hob as per the cooking instructions.

2. Put a pan of boiling water on the hob with a generous pinch of salt.

3. Cook 150g of pasta in boiling salted water, we like rigatoni. Stir the hot Bolognese sauce through the pasta to coat it.

4. Serve with a generous sprinkling of freshly grated parmesan and, if you like, a little extra virgin olive oil.

5. Add a green salad and garlic bread on the side if you like.

Ingredients

AT COOK WE USE THE SAME INGREDIENTS YOU WOULD USE AT HOME.

We never put additives or preservatives into our food. We do occasionally use kitchen cupboard ingredients that include some additives in their sub-ingredients (for example Worcestershire Sauce used in our Spaghetti Bolognese, which contains Tamarind Extract).

Cooking/Serving Instructions

These cooking instructions are only a guide. Your appliance may have a personality of its own (or a different power rating). Please adjust accordingly.

Microwave:

Remove sleeve and pierce film. Place the pot on a microwaveable plate and cook on full power. @Hob Defrost in the fridge for 24hrs and eat within 4 days. Stir well and decant the pot of sauce into a saucepan. Cook over a medium/high heat for 5-8 mins, stirring frequently. Ensure piping hot, allow to rest for 1 min and use as desired.

Stir well and ensure piping hot. Allow to rest for 1 min and use as desired.

Defrost Instructions:

MICROWAVE FROM DEFROST: Keep refrigerated and eat within 4 days. Follow the microwave guidelines but cook for 2 mins 30 secs, stir, 1 min 30 secs.

Extra Warnings:

Steam may be released when removing film lid. Once cooked do not reheat.
