How we make it

Firstly, the chicken breast is marinated in honey and sesame oil for a few hours. Then we make a light sauce to coat the egg noodles by frying the garlic and ginger in sesame oil, then adding Chinese five spice, sherry, light soy sauce and a touch of palm sugar. To finish, the noodles are topped with stir fried red peppers, water chestnuts, sesame seeds and toasted cashew nuts.

Did you know: Chinese five spice is a mix of fennel, cinnamon, star anise, cloves and black pepper and adds a distinctive flavour to all your dishes. If you’re a fan then you must also try our Chinese Five Spice Ribettes for an irresistibly sticky starter.

AT COOK WE USE THE SAME INGREDIENTS YOU WOULD USE AT HOME.

We never put additives or preservatives into our food. We do occasionally use kitchen cupboard ingredients that include some additives in their sub-ingredients (for example Worcestershire Sauce used in our Spaghetti Bolognese, which contains Tamarind Extract).

Cooking/Serving Instructions

These cooking instructions are only a guide. Your appliance may have a personality of its own (or a different power rating). Please adjust accordingly.

Microwave:

Remove sleeve, pierce film. Cook on full power.
850W
4 mins > stir & re-cover > 2 mins
Allow to stand for 1 min and stir well before serving.

Oven:

Preheat oven. Pierce film lid and place on a baking tray in the centre of the oven.

Oven Settings

Fan 180°C, Electric 200°C, Gas Mark 6.
20 mins > stir > 10 mins
Allow to stand for 1 min and stir well before serving.

Defrost Instructions:

Should this product defrost, keep refrigerated and eat within 48 hours. Follow the microwave guidelines but cook for 2 mins, stir, 1 min.

Extra Warnings:

Although every care has been taken to remove all bones, some may remain. Steam may be released when removing film lid.
