How We Make It At Our Kitchen

  • Chicken thighs and drumsticks are slow cooked through the oven until soft and tender.
  • Bacon, onions & mushrooms are fried.
  • Then it’s all added to a velouté sauce made with a Riesling wine stock.

AT COOK WE USE THE SAME INGREDIENTS YOU WOULD USE AT HOME.

We never put additives or preservatives into our food. We do occasionally use kitchen cupboard ingredients that include some additives in their sub-ingredients (for example Worcestershire Sauce used in our Spaghetti Bolognese, which contains Tamarind Extract).

Chicken Thigh (28%), Chicken Drummer (23%), White Wine (contains: Preservative: Sulphur Dioxide), Riesling Wine (8%) (contains: Preservative: Sulphur Dioxide), Water, Onions (6%), Smoked Back Bacon (5%) (contains: Pork, Water, Salt, Antioxidant (Sodium Ascorbate), Preservatives (Sodium Nitrite, Potassium Nitrate)), Mushrooms (4%), Double Cream [Milk], Chicken Glace (contains: Concentrated Broth from Chicken Meat (Water, Extract), Maltodextrin (Potato), Yeast Extract, Salt, Glucose, Onion Powder), Butter [Milk], Gluten Free Flour Blend (contains: Rice, Potato, Tapioca, Maize, Buckwheat), Brandy (contains: Colour: Caramel), Rapeseed Oil, Garlic, Parsley, Thyme, Bay Leaves, Black Pepper.

Cooking/Serving Instructions

These cooking instructions are only a guide. Your appliance may have a personality of its own (or a different power rating). Please adjust accordingly.

Serves 1

Oven:

Preheat oven. Remove sleeve, pierce film lid. Place onto a baking tray in the top half of the oven. Remove film 10 mins before end of cooking.

Oven Settings

Fan 170°C, Electric 190°C, Gas Mark 5.
35 mins > remove film > 10 mins
Allow to stand for 2 mins before serving.

Microwave:

If you're in a hurry, the microwave is fine, but we'd always suggest you use the oven… it's the only way you'll get that lovely crispy skin. Remove sleeve, pierce film lid. Cook on full power.

5 mins > stir gently & re-cover > 6 mins
Allow to stand for 2 mins before serving.

Defrost Instructions:

Should this product defrost, keep refrigerated and eat within 48 hours. Follow the oven guidelines but cook for 15 mins, remove film and cook for a further 15 mins.

Extra Warnings:

This product contains bones. Steam may be released when removing film lid.

Serves 2
