For a great spread, we'd suggest that for every 8 people you select...
Serve a mix of hot and cold canapés: Prepare all the cold ones in advance, our little pots of handmade pate will make at least 25 canapés
Put a teaspoon of pâté onto a crostini and garnish with fresh dill
Made for us by our friends at Findlater’s Fine Foods.
Why isn’t this made at the COOK Kitchens? Nearly everything we sell frozen we make ourselves in our kitchens in Kent and Somerset. The few exceptions are where the set-up of our kitchens doesn’t allow us to make a dish as well as we’d want to (or at all). In these cases, we find someone who cooks like we do and specialises in the dish concerned. We sell these lines under the COOK brand because they’re made exactly as we would do them ourselves, if only we could.
AT COOK WE USE THE SAME INGREDIENTS YOU WOULD USE AT HOME.
We never put additives or preservatives into our food. We do occasionally use kitchen cupboard ingredients that include some additives in their sub-ingredients (for example Worcestershire Sauce used in our Spaghetti Bolognese, which contains Tamarind Extract). At our kitchen, we prepare food by hand using the same ingredients and techniques you would at home. We then freeze our meals at -35°C so it tastes freshly made when you cook it at home (no nasty additives or preservatives required). Most of our food can be heated from frozen (sometimes in minutes in your microwave). Check the instructions below.
DEFROST TO SERVE
Defrost in a refrigerator for a minimum of 10 hours. Once defrosted keep refrigerated and eat within 3 days.
Although every care has been taken to remove bones, some may remain.
Please Note: The details above are correct as of 8 December 2019 but as we are constantly improving our recipes it is essential to check the label on the packaging.
