How We Make It At Our Kitchen

  • We make a mushroom duxelle mix by frying off some garlic, before adding a mix of chestnut and cup mushrooms with a splash of white wine and reducing this to a simmer.
  • In goes double cream and mascarpone cheese for extra richness, and we sprinkle over some thyme to complement the mushroom flavour.
  • This is spooned onto little crunchy bruschettine (similar to an Italian crostini), and topped with a cube of halloumi cheese and a sprinkle of parsley.

Ingredients

AT COOK WE USE THE SAME INGREDIENTS YOU WOULD USE AT HOME.

We never put additives or preservatives into our food. We do occasionally use kitchen cupboard ingredients that include some additives in their sub-ingredients (for example Worcestershire Sauce used in our Spaghetti Bolognese, which contains Tamarind Extract).

Halloumi (23%) [Milk], Cup Mushrooms (20%), Bruschettine (17%) [Wheat Gluten], Chestnut Mushrooms (17%), White Wine [Sulphites], Mascarpone (6%) [Milk], Garlic (3%), Rapeseed Oil, Parsley, Thyme, Salt, Black Pepper.

Bruschettine contains: Soft Wheat Flour, Durum Wheat Semolina, Olive Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Salt, Brewers Yeast, Malt Extract, Sugar. White Wine contains: White Wine, Preservative: Sulphur Dioxide. Mascarpone contains: Milk Cream, Acidity Regulator: Citric Acid.

Cooking/Serving Instructions

OVEN COOK FROM FROZEN

Oven:

Preheat oven. Remove canapés from all packaging and place directly onto a baking tray. Cook in the top of the oven.

Oven Settings

Fan 180°C, Electric 200°C, Gas Mark 6.
18-20 mins
Allow to rest for 2 mins before serving. When cooking more than one pack of canapés at a time, allow extra cooking time.

Defrost Instructions:

Should this product defrost, keep refrigerated and eat within 48 hours. Follow the oven guidelines but cook for 13-15 mins.
