Mac Cheese with Smoky Bacon
An indulgent macaroni cheese with vintage West Country Cheddar and smoked bacon, topped with a crispy garlic and parsley crumb.

- Simple Supper: It's a meal in it's own right and can happily be enjoyed on it's own.
- Something Fancy: Grill a couple of slices of Prosciutto for a couple of minutes and serve on top with a small handful of pea shoots and chopped parsley.
- Mixing it up: Delicious with a side of petit pois.
How We Make It
We make that rich white sauce first from a roux (with a little paprika) slowly adding a little. Then in goes English mustard, lots of vintage Cheddar and a pinch of white pepper. The bacon is fried off in a pan until it is nice and crispy. The cheese sauce and bacon are stirred through the pasta and topped with our own garlic croutons.
