Shredded beef in a caramelised onion and white wine sauce, topped with melted Gruyère toasts with a hint of mustard and red onion sautéed in red wine vinegar, all wrapped in handmade shortcrust pastry.

How We Make It

  • Our chefs braise British or Irish beef for four hourse in red wine
  • We finish the pie by adding little brushchettine and sprinkle with a mix of grated Gruyere, mustard, herbs and pickled red onions
  • The shortcrust is an all-butter recipe, made in house by our Pastry Team

AT COOK WE USE THE SAME INGREDIENTS YOU WOULD USE AT HOME.

We never put additives or preservatives into our food. We do occasionally use kitchen cupboard ingredients that include some additives in their sub-ingredients (for example Worcestershire Sauce used in our Spaghetti Bolognese, which contains Tamarind Extract).

Cooking/Serving Instructions

OVEN COOK FROM FROZEN

Oven:

Remove packaging and place the pie on the silicon paper provided on a baking tray. Cook on the middle shelf for 60 mins. Then lightly cover the top with tin foil to prevent the topping from browning too much and cook for a further 20-25 mins.

Oven Settings

Fan 170°C, Electric 190°C, Gas Mark 5.
80-85 mins
Remove from the oven and leave to rest for 10 mins. Ensure piping hot.
