Tell Me More

  • Made with wild venison from Ben Rigby Game in the UK
  • The Italian pasta sheets are made with free-range egg
  • The rich tomato sauce is made with diced smoked bacon, garlic and red wine

Try it with:

  • It might be fancy, but it’s still a lasagne, so a green salad is a good option…
  • …along with one of our lovely Garlic Ciabattas
  • For the more ambitious, a tomato, mozzarella and basil salad is a nice addition

How We Make It At Our Kitchen

  • We mince the venison ourselves from prime cuts, before braising it in stock and red wine until tender
  • In the sauce there’s diced smoked bacon, tomato, red wine, onions and garlic. The béchamel is a traditional version, made from scratch, with nutmeg, English mustard and Cheddar cheese
  • Then it’s all layered together and topped with a cheesy herb crumb
