How we make it

First up, we fry garlic and ginger in sesame oil before adding black bean paste, dark soy sauce, sherry and a touch of chilli powder. The chicken breast is marinated in honey, dark soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger and garlic giving it a lovely deep colour and flavour. Water chestnuts provide crunch while the garnish of red peppers and spring onions add a hit of colour.

Did you know: The black soy beans used to make this dish are salted and aged to give them an intense savoury flavour.

Ingredients

AT COOK WE USE THE SAME INGREDIENTS YOU WOULD USE AT HOME.

We never put additives or preservatives into our food. We do occasionally use kitchen cupboard ingredients that include some additives in their sub-ingredients (for example Worcestershire Sauce used in our Spaghetti Bolognese, which contains Tamarind Extract).

Ginger Puree contains: Ginger Puree, Acidity Regulator: Citric Acid. Dark Soy Sauce contains: Water, Soybeans, Salt, Sugar, Wheat Flour. Sesame Oil contains: Soya Oil, Sesame Oil. Roast Chicken Stock contains: Roast Chicken, Maltodextrin, Salt, Natural Flavouring, Chicken Fat, Sugar, Lemon Juice (from concentrate), Onion Powder. Cooking/Serving Instructions

These cooking instructions are only a guide. Your appliance may have a personality of its own (or a different power rating). Please adjust accordingly.

Microwave:

Remove sleeve, pierce film. Cook on full power.
850W
3 mins > stir and re-cover > 3 mins
Allow to stand for 1 min and stir well before serving.

Oven:

Preheat oven. Pierce film lid, place on a baking tray in the centre of the oven.

Oven Settings

Fan 180°C, Electric 200°C, Gas Mark 6.
30-35 mins
Allow to stand for 1 min and stir well before serving.

Defrost Instructions:

Should this product defrost, keep refrigerated and eat within 48 hours. Follow the microwave guidelines but cook for 2 mins, stir, 1 min.

Extra Warnings:

Although every care has been taken to remove all bones, some may remain. Steam may be released when removing film lid.
