Our Chefs make a rich cheese sauce using a mix of vintage cheddar and mature cheddar cheese with a little added English mustard and paprika to bring out the cheesiness even more. The macaroni pasta is part cooked so that it retains an al dente bite when you bake it at home. Smoked back bacon is sliced and fried until just crisp, then added to the dish along with some garden peas. Garlic, olive oil and parsley are mixed through crisp croutons to give the dish the delicious flavour of garlic bread. A generous amount of grated mature cheddar is sprinkled over the dish which melts to a light golden brown when baked.
