Tell Me More

  • We make our meatballs from scratch, by hand, to our own tried and tested recipe. We’ve come up with a rather ingenious way to shape them, too: an ice-cream scoop
  • They’re made from a tasty mix of beef and pork mince, all ground in our Kitchen from prime cuts of meat
  • Red wine, red pesto and balsamic vinegar in the tomato sauce bring real depth and sweetness

Try it with:

  • Linguine and some toasted pine nuts on top make a nice alternative to the classic accompaniments of spaghetti and a sprinkling of Parmesan
  • You could enrage Italians the world over and serve with rice
  • Courgette ribbons for a healthier take on pasta

How We Make It At Our Kitchen

  • We mince the beef and pork ourselves and make the meatballs from scratch adding some pretty special ingredients, including red pesto, basil and garlic
  • Then we shape them and weigh the meatballs. A last little pat from the chef, and they’re perfect. Then we pop them in the fridge for a couple of hours, so they keep their shape when roasted in the oven
  • The tomato sauce has some special ingredients: red wine, sundried tomatoes, red pesto, balsamic vinegar, and a little sugar

We never put additives or preservatives into our food. We do occasionally use kitchen cupboard ingredients that include some additives in their sub-ingredients (for example Worcestershire Sauce used in our Spaghetti Bolognese, which contains Tamarind Extract). Cooking Instructions

At our kitchen, we prepare food by hand using the same ingredients and techniques you would at home. We then freeze our meals at -35°C so it tastes freshly made when you cook it at home (no nasty additives or preservatives required). Most of our food can be heated from frozen (sometimes in minutes in your microwave). Check the instructions below.

Preheat oven. Remove sleeve, pierce film. Place on a baking tray in the centre of the oven.

Oven Settings

Fan 160°C, Electric 180°C, Gas Mark 4.

Allow to stand for 1 min. Ensure food is piping hot before serving.

Microwave:

Remove sleeve, pierce film. Place on a microwaveable plate. Cook on full power.

Extra Warnings:

Steam may be released when removing film lid.
