Tell Me More

  • A traditional white-wine version of coq au vin, popular in Alsace, a region where Riesling grapes are grown
  • A very versatile dish which is just as good for a dinner party as a quick meal for one
  • Made with British chicken. COOK was awarded a Good Chicken Award for our commitment to higher-welfare sourcing

Try it with:

  • Great with rice, mash or Dauphinoise Potatoes and steamed seasonal greens
  • Try it with a green salad, crusty baguette and a glass of wine
  • Or be like the locals in Alsace and serve on a pile of buttered pasta ribbons

How We Make It At Our Kitchen

  • Chicken thighs and drumsticks are slow cooked through the oven until soft and tender.
  • Bacon, onions & mushrooms are fried.
  • Then it’s all added to a velouté sauce made with a Riesling wine stock.

Cooking Instructions

At our kitchen, we prepare food by hand using the same ingredients and techniques you would at home. We then freeze our meals at -35°C so it tastes freshly made when you cook it at home (no nasty additives or preservatives required). Most of our food can be heated from frozen (sometimes in minutes in your microwave). Check the instructions below.

These cooking instructions are only a guide. Your appliance may have a personality of its own (or a different power rating). Please adjust accordingly.
