Tell Me More

  • We’ve been making this classic curry for years, honing the recipe as we gone along. One of our bestselling Indian dishes
  • A mild, creamy curry that’s perfect for family meals. Not even remotely spicy
  • All of our chicken is British and Red Tractor approved

Try It With:

  • If you planning a classic curry night, mix it up with a bit of Top Banana Ketchup – it’s amazing with a korma
  • Forget the rice and try serving with a naan bread to mop up all that lovely sauce
  • If you’re entertaining, Chicken Korma is a real crowd-pleaser. Try serving along with some hotter curries and add a few personal touches – see our blog for tips from our chefs

What Is Bhunaring?

  • 'Bhunaring' is what we do at COOK for the first stage in making all of our tasty Indian curries.
  • We begin by shallow frying chopped garlic until golden brown, giving it a lovely nutty flavour. Then we add diced or sliced onions, season and cook until soft.
  • In go the ground spices (depending on the curry) and chopped tomatoes, which stop the dry spices sticking to the pan. We cook on a low-to-medium heat for 45-60 minutes until the base has thickened considerably and the oil has come to the top. Bhunaring complete!
  • We then build on this base and the sauce takes on its own personality for each of the different curries.
