All our COOK turkeys are raised outdoors on a small farm in East Anglia with freedom to roam on a pasture or in woodland 24hrs a day with a 100% natural diet. This has been recognised with a Good Turkey Award from the charity Compassion in World Farming.

How We Make It At Our Kitchen

  • Our chefs prepare their handmade stuffing with higher-welfare sausagemeat from Speldhurst butchers, orange-soaked apricots and a hint of ginger.
  • The turkey breast is seasoned with a little salt and pepper, before being filled with a generous quantity of stuffing.
  • Finally, they are covered with slices of sweet-cured streaky bacon and garnished with an orange slice, a sprig of thyme and a bay leaf.

AT COOK WE USE THE SAME INGREDIENTS YOU WOULD USE AT HOME.

We never put additives or preservatives into our food. We do occasionally use kitchen cupboard ingredients that include some additives in their sub-ingredients (for example Worcestershire Sauce used in our Spaghetti Bolognese, which contains Tamarind Extract).

Turkey Breast (57%), Pork & Apricot Sausagemeat Stuffing (23%) (Pork, Water, Dried Apricot [Sulphites], Gluten Free Rusk (Dehydrated Potato Powder, Rice Flour, Salt, Dextrose), Onion [Sulphites], Ginger, Sage, Sugar, Salt, White Pepper, Basil, Parsley, Pimento, Mace, Orange Oil), Sweet-Cure Streaky Bacon (16%) (Pork, Salt, Dextrose, Preservatives (Potassium Nitrate, Sodium Nitrite, Sodium Acetate), Antioxidant (Sodium Ascorbate), Smoke), Orange Slices (4%), Thyme, Bay Leaves.

DEFROST BEFORE COOKING

Defrost Instructions:

*NOT SUITABLE FOR MICROWAVES*
OVEN COOK

Oven:

Remove from packaging, place in dish and cover. Defrost for at least 12 hours in the fridge. Ensure it is fully defrosted before cooking. Once defrosted, keep your turkey in the fridge. Preheat oven. Place in a roasting tin on the silicon paper provided, cover with foil and cook in the middle of the oven for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and continue to cook for further 20 minutes. Before removing from the oven, use a fork or skewer to pierce the centre of the meat, the juices need to run clear with no hint of redness.

Oven Settings

Fan 170°C, Electric 190°C, Gas Mark 5.

Extra Warnings:

Please be aware that the bacon causes the turkey to turn pink, this is normal and does not mean that the turkey is not cooked. Although every care has been taken to remove all bones and apricot stone, some may remain.
