Tell Me More

  • The Entente Cordiale of a dish, combining a classic British pie made and the flavours of a warming French onion soup
  • Made with British beef from farms monitored independently to check animal welfare standards, food safety, traceability and environmental protection
  • A crowd-pleasing centrepiece for a big winter get-together

Try it with:

  • Delicious with roasted new potatoes
  • Such a hearty dish needs a hearty veg – we’d suggest our Cavolo Nero
  • Sprinkle with some chopped fresh parsley just before serving

How We Make It At Our Kitchen

  • We braise British beef in red wine for several hours until it’s so tender that it’s falling apart.
  • Meanwhile, we caramelise red and white onions which go into a white wine and beef sauce.
  • These go into an open, all-butter pie case and are topped with bruschettine, pickled red onions and melting, mustardy Swiss cheese.

We then freeze our meals at -35°C so it tastes freshly made when you cook it at home (no nasty additives or preservatives required). Most of our food can be heated from frozen (sometimes in minutes in your microwave). Check the instructions below.
