Here’s where we are as of week commencing Monday 1st June:
Since the very start of the crisis we’ve been doing what we can to help the communities where we operate. Thank you to everyone who has worked with us to get COOK food to people in need, be they vulnerable neighbours, courageous NHS staff or families struggling due to lockdown. You have put us in touch with food banks, care homes and countless community projects to help us distribute our Kindness Fund of 100,000 free meals and treats. As of this week, we’ve distributed 50,000 meals across the country and, due to the amazing response, are no longer taking new introductions to third parties. If you’d like to get in touch, email firstname.lastname@example.org
Range of dishes
After the craziness of March and April, our kitchens have now settled into a routine that means we will be able to make virtually our entire range of meals and puddings. Stock may continue to be patchy for a little while as we get back up to speed, and many apologies if there are some items unavailable for now. Hopefully, we should be able to offer you a tasty alternative (just ask if you need guidance). All our kitchens are, of course, operating under the strictest possible hygiene, health and social distancing conditions.
Home Delivery Orders
While home delivery remains busy we’ve been working hard to add more deliveries to our schedule and you should find it a bit easier to get a slot going forwards. If you are “at risk”, self-isolating or working for the NHS and are struggling to get a slot, please get in touch and we’ll do whatever we can to help. Once you’ve placed an order online, please be aware you won’t be able edit it – this helps all our processes run more smoothly during this unprecedented time. We hope you understand and sorry for any inconvenience. Should you need to make a change, please call 01732 759020.
Our shops are open, well stocked, and doing everything they can to serve our local communities. We are admitting one customer at a time and operating a counter service by the door, to help keep everyone safe. Payment is by card/contactless only, no cash for now. If you’re planning to visit, please consider if you can also shop for elderly or vulnerable neighbours or for those self-isolating – we continue to have some free meals allocated for those in need, please ask at the till.
Contact-free Click & Collect
All shops have Click & Collect slots available. Collection will be from the counter by the door and contact-free.
Reduced opening hours
To help our shops teams, our standard opening hours will be from 9:30 to 4:30 Monday-to-Saturday and 10:30 to 3:30 on Sunday. All our shops are doing their best to stay open to their advertised hours but may have to close unexpectedly due to changes in circumstances. Please check your local shop page online before travelling.
Getting in touch
Please bear with us if it takes longer than usual to get through by phone or to get a response through other channels – unsurprisingly, things are busy. Please find our contact details here.
Above all, let’s keep looking out for each other during this difficult time.
