Throughout the pandemic we’ve followed the advice of the government and so, with rules on social distancing being relaxed, we have amended the guidance for all our shops. We will review our arrangements on a monthly basis or when guidance is updated, whichever comes first.
Shops in England
From Monday 19th July we will no longer require all customers to wear a face covering inside our shops. However, we encourage face masks to be worn to help reduce the spread of the virus.
With this in mind, we have asked all our team members to wear masks when helping customers on the shop floor. They can remove their masks if serving from behind a perspex counter screen or if the shop is empty.
We will keep counter screens in place and provide hand sanitiser stations at the shop entrance.
We will also continue to limit the number of customers allowed into the shop at once, to prevent overcrowding.
Our team members will attempt to keep socially distanced from customers when helping on the shop floor.
Shops in Scotland/Wales
In line with the regional government guidance, we’ll be asking everybody to wear face coverings inside our shops and other social distancing measures will stay in place for now.
As you’ll have no doubt seen on the news headlines, finding people to work in manufacturing, in particular, is proving to be quite challenging. Our kitchens are struggling to fill vacancies and therefore a few more dishes may be out of stock than usual. Many apologies if something you want isn’t available, we’ll be doing everything we can to cook up some more as soon as possible.
Let’s keep looking out for each other as things open up.
