How We Make it

This summery puff pastry tart is ideal for a light lunch with some salad or as part of a buffet. For the filling of the tart, our Chefs begin by slowly sweating onions and garlic until they are sweet and soft. They add tomato puree, tomato juice, balsamic vinegar, vegetable stock and lemon juice and allow this sauce to simmer gently to let the flavours really develop. They stir in basil to add some authentic Mediterranean flavour.

We then roast a colourful range of vegetables through our ovens to top the tart – red and yellow peppers, courgettes and red onions, which are then mixed with vibrant green pesto to add freshness to the tart. The vegetables are then layered over the sauce. The tart is finally topped with crumbled feta.

AT COOK WE USE THE SAME INGREDIENTS YOU WOULD USE AT HOME.

We never put additives or preservatives into our food. We do occasionally use kitchen cupboard ingredients that include some additives in their sub-ingredients (for example Worcestershire Sauce used in our Spaghetti Bolognese, which contains Tamarind Extract).

White Onion, Puff Pastry (13%) [Milk, Wheat Gluten], Feta (11%) [Milk], Courgette (10%), Red Peppers (9%), Yellow Peppers (9%), Water, Red Onion (6%), Tomato Puree (5%), Tomato Juice (3%), Basil Pesto (3%) [Milk], Rapeseed Oil, Garlic, Mediterranean Vegetable Stock [Celery], Corn Flour, Basil, Salt, Sugar, Balsamic Vinegar [Sulphites], Oregano, Lemon Juice, Black Pepper.

Puff Pastry contains: Wheat Flour, Margarine (Vegetable Fat (Sustainable Palm), Water, Salt, Lemon Juice), Water, Salt, Traces of Milk Products. OVEN COOK FROM FROZEN

Oven:

Pre-heat oven. Remove from all packaging and place on a baking tray with greaseproof paper provided. Cook in the top of the oven.

Oven Settings

Fan 170°C, Electric 190°C, Gas Mark 5.
35-40 mins
Allow to rest for 5 mins before serving.
