How We Make It

Hazelnuts are caramelised by roasting for 10-15 minutes with salt, sugar and thyme. All butter puff pastry is cut into discs by hand by the pastry team. This is topped with a disc of goats cheese, the caramelised hazelnuts and a cranberry and port sauce.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with a simple green salad, dressed with balsamic glaze - add toasted pine nuts or chopped hazelnuts / dried cranberries

Great (vegetarian) starter – potentially could serve both as a main course vegetarian option.

Ingredients

AT COOK WE USE THE SAME INGREDIENTS YOU WOULD USE AT HOME.

We never put additives or preservatives into our food. We do occasionally use kitchen cupboard ingredients that include some additives in their sub-ingredients (for example Worcestershire Sauce used in our Spaghetti Bolognese, which contains Tamarind Extract). Puff Pastry (38%) [Wheat Gluten, Milk], Goat's Cheese (37%) [Milk], Cranberry & Port Sauce (13%), Egg Yolk, Hazelnuts (5%), Sugar, Rapeseed Oil, Salt, Thyme.

Puff Pastry Contains: Wheat Flour, Butter, Water, Salt. Cranberry & Port Sauce contains: Raw Cane Sugar, Cranberries, Citrus Pectin, Vinegar, Port, Lemon Juice.

Cooking Instructions

At our kitchen, we prepare food by hand using the same ingredients and techniques you would at home. We then freeze our meals at -35°C so it tastes freshly made when you cook it at home (no nasty additives or preservatives required). Most of our food can be heated from frozen (sometimes in minutes in your microwave). Check the instructions below.

OVEN COOK FROM FROZEN

Oven:

Preheat oven. Remove all packaging and place tarts on a baking tray in the top of the oven.

Oven Settings

Fan 180°C, Electric 200°C, Gas Mark 6.
25 mins
Allow to stand for 1 min before serving.

Defrost Instructions:

Should this product defrost, keep refrigerated and eat within 48 hours. Follow the oven guidelines but cook for 15 mins.
