Goat's cheese with a lightly spiced butternut squash and carrot puree, topped with roasted butternut and spinach in crisp filo pastry.

How We Make It

The base layer is made up of carrot, butternut and nutmeg purée. We then top it with a slice of goat’s cheese. On top of that is chopped spinach and roasted butternut cubes. It’s all encased in filo pastry and topped with thyme. We buy our goat’s cheese from Belgium and slice it in-house.

Ingredients

AT COOK WE USE THE SAME INGREDIENTS YOU WOULD USE AT HOME.

We never put additives or preservatives into our food. We do occasionally use kitchen cupboard ingredients that include some additives in their sub-ingredients (for example Worcestershire Sauce used in our Spaghetti Bolognese, which contains Tamarind Extract). Butternut Squash (27%), Filo Pastry (24%) [Wheat Gluten, Sulphites], Goat's Cheese (12%) [Milk], Carrots (10%), Water, Rapeseed Oil, Double Cream [Milk], Spinach (5%), Basil Pesto [Milk], Salt, Thyme, Cracked Black Pepper, Nutmeg.

Basil Pesto: Basil Paste (Fresh Basil 59%, Sunflower Oil, Salt, Antioxidant: Ascorbic Acid, Acidity Regulator: Lactic acid), Sunflower Oil, Grated Vegetarian Hard Cheese (Cow’s Milk, Salt, Micro Rennet), Garlic Puree. Filo Pastry contains: Wheat Flour (contains Calcium Carbonate, Niacin, Iron, Thiamine), Water, Maize Starch, Rapeseed Oil, Glucose Syrup, Salt, Flour Treatment Agents: Ascorbic Acid, Sodium Metabisulphite.

Cooking Instructions

At our kitchen, we prepare food by hand using the same ingredients and techniques you would at home. We then freeze our meals at -35°C so it tastes freshly made when you cook it at home (no nasty additives or preservatives required). Most of our food can be heated from frozen (sometimes in minutes in your microwave). Check the instructions below.

These cooking instructions are only a guide. Your appliance may have a personality of its own (or a different power rating). Please adjust accordingly.

OVEN COOK FROM FROZEN

Oven:

Preheat oven. Remove filos from all packaging, place directly onto a baking tray and cook in the top of the oven.

Oven Settings

Fan 180°C, Electric 200°C, Gas Mark 6.
45-50 mins
Allow to rest for 2 mins before serving.

Defrost Instructions:

Should this product defrost, keep refrigerated and eat within 48 hours. Follow the oven guidelines but cook for 25-30 mins.
