Hand-prepared with quality ingredients and just £12 a pop, these will feed a family of four, six children on a playdate, a couple of seriously ravenous teenagers, or one very, very hungry caterpillar.

It looks and taste homemade and because it can be cooked from frozen it comes straight out of the freezer, into the oven, and supper’s done.

 

How We Make It

Bolognese bake

Our Chefs sweat onions, garlic, carrots and celery then add chopped tomatoes, oregano and basil to form the Bolognese sauce base.  To this we add beef which has been minced from whole cuts by our Prep Chefs.  Cannolicchi pasta is par-cooked so that it retains a good bite when reheated at home.  To coat the pasta, we make a rich cheese sauce using Mature cheddar cheese, English mustard, cayenne pepper and nutmeg.  Finally, the dish is topped with a crumb mix of Gran Padano cheese, parsley, garlic and breadcrumbs which turns a light golden brown when baked.  

 

Serve with a green salad and our Garlic Ciabatta.

We do occasionally use kitchen cupboard ingredients that include some additives in their sub-ingredients (for example Worcestershire Sauce used in our Spaghetti Bolognese, which contains Tamarind Extract). Cooking Instructions

At our kitchen, we prepare food by hand using the same ingredients and techniques you would at home. We then freeze our meals at -35°C so it tastes freshly made when you cook it at home (no nasty additives or preservatives required). Most of our food can be heated from frozen (sometimes in minutes in your microwave). Check the instructions below.

OVEN COOK FROM FROZEN

Oven:

Preheat oven. Remove sleeve and film lid. Place on a baking tray and cook in the centre of the oven.

Oven Settings

Fan 170°C, Electric 190°C, Gas Mark 5.
70 mins
Allow to rest for 2 mins before serving.
