Kimchi is a classic Korean dish. Traditionally fermented, like sauerkraut, our version is a fresh kimchi ... and more suitable for a canapé!

How We Make It At Our Kitchen

Our chefs slow-roast free-range pork shoulder steaks with a little garlic and salt for several hours until tender. A sauce of garlic, ginger, mushrooms, dark soy, chilli and sesame oil is then mixed through the pulled pork. This is added by hand to crisp wonton cups and topped a fresh kimchi.

Ingredients

AT COOK WE USE THE SAME INGREDIENTS YOU WOULD USE AT HOME.

We never put additives or preservatives into our food. We do occasionally use kitchen cupboard ingredients that include some additives in their sub-ingredients (for example Worcestershire Sauce used in our Spaghetti Bolognese, which contains Tamarind Extract).

Pork (23%), Cup Mushrooms (17%), Wonton Cup (15%) [Wheat Gluten], Red Cabbage (9%), Water, Carrots, Garlic, White Wine Vinegar [Sulphites], Ginger Puree (4%), Dark Brown Sugar, Dark Soy Sauce (3%) [Wheat Gluten, Soya], Cornflour, Sesame Oil [Soya], Rapeseed Oil, Coriander, Salt, Thai Fish Sauce, Sugar, Chilli Flakes.

Ginger Puree contains: Ginger Puree, Citric Acid. Dark Soy Sauce contains: Water, Soybeans, Salt, Sugar, Wheat Flour. White Wine Vinegar contains: Wine, Antioxidant: Sulphur Dioxide. Sesame Oil contains: Soy Oil, Sesame Oil. Thai Fish Sauce contains: Water, Anchovy Fish Extract, Salt, Sugar. Cooking/Serving Instructions

OVEN COOK FROM FROZEN

Oven:

Preheat oven. Remove canapés from all packaging and place directly onto a lightly greased baking tray. Cook in the centre of the oven.

Oven Settings

Fan 180°C, Electric 200°C, Gas Mark 6.
13-15 mins
Allow to rest for 2 mins before serving.
