A good idea for Christmas...
I thought you might like to hear this. All my married life (coming up to 50 years) apart from one year when we went abroad and another when we were invited out, I have prepared and cooked the family’s Christmas dinner usually for about 8 people or more. This year there will be 10 of us.
So instead of the usual chase around the Supermarkets I have given out your menus to all the members of the family for them to choose a meal. When they have all decided on their favourite I shall go to my local COOK shop in Haslemere and purchase all the food necessary for a splendid lunch and all I have to do on Christmas morning is to heat the oven and put everything in at the right time or set the microwave and sit back with a glass of something tasty until it’s time to dish up.
What do you think of that for a perfect day? Even the dishwasher won’t be as overused as it usually is.
I’m really looking forward to the celebrations this year.
